AustinTexas512-215-4228counseling@kathleenchoe.netKathleen has been working in the mental health field for the past twenty years with a focus on treating eating disorders. As she recognized the pervasive trauma often underlying this particular diagnosis, Kathleen began pursuing training in trauma informed care, including TF-CBT and EMDR. When Kathleen first saw Tim and Bettina Jobe demonstrate their Natural Lifemanship model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, she knew this was the experiential component of therapy that she had been looking for to better help her clients work through their trauma and other issues. Kathleen finds Natural Lifemanship principles useful both in and out of the round pen. She applies her training in EMDR to Equine Assisted Trauma Processing, essentially EMDR on horseback, using the horse’s rhythmic movement as the bilateral stimulation. As a trainer, Kathleen is passionate about sharing the fundamentals of Natural Lifemanship so that other therapists and equine specialists can begin using them to help their clients as well.
