Building Your Resilience

A Series of Self-Care Workshops Created to Nurture Your Caring Heart.

Making a living by offering others your unconditional care and support is no easy feat. You show up for each and every client and do your best to be your full, authentic, loving and boundaried self, every day.
Working in the mental health and helping professions can be psychologically and emotionally taxing. We all know, intellectually, that we need deep and restorative self-care in order to be at our best. It is what we encourage our clients to practice. Yet, are we really doing it for ourselves?
About Building Your Resilience
The Natural Lifemanship Institute, in collaboration with our students and partner sites, has developed the Building Your Resilience online series to provide opportunities for profound self-care, through mindfulness, meditation, art, journaling, self-reflection, and more.
Choose from the following workshops and give yourself the restorative care you need to best support your clients.

Course Curriculum
Here’s a look at what you’ll learn in Connecting to Self for Awareness and Healing with Jenn Pagone.
Week 1: Self as the Most Durable Resource
Part one of this series focuses on the connection to Self. You will be guided through a meditation that facilitates the process of connecting with your Core Self and identifying certain characteristics of Self. The Core Self has every imaginable resource to help us cope with transitions, loss, confusion and uncertainty, and life events. This is more than investing in an hour and a half to “refill your cup”; this practice creates new neuropathways and regulates your nervous system. From this experience you will be able to create your own daily practice to increase your connection to Self and continue building this most durable resource.
Week 2: Creating Internal Spaciousness
In the second installment you will be guided to work with parts of yourself that are often triggered or activated in relationships. You may experience these aspects of yourself as “knee-jerk reactions” or patterns in relationships that you may not understand and may not like. You will learn a process of how to connect with these parts and by learning more about them so you can create a Self-to-part relationship. A Self-to-part relationship begins with awareness and builds clarity and compassion which creates more internal space for healing to occur. You will learn a method for this practice that you can use when you notice triggered parts.
Week 3: Functional Dual Awareness – healing the past in the present
