Eyvonne Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) specializing in the treatment of trauma, emotional, physical and spiritual. Using a variety of modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing, Trauma First Aid , Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy she facilitates the path to recovery.
Eyvonne received her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas in Austin, a Bachelor of Science from Texas State University specializing in Therapuetic recreation, and an Associates in Business Administration from Austin Community College. Eyvonne also has advanced and specialized training in somatic experiencing, is certified as an EMDR therapist, and is an EMDRIA-approved consultant.
She has been affiliated with two psychiatric hospitals in Austin, TX, Seton/Shoal Creek Hospital and St. David’s Pavilion where she supervised the Adult Psychiatric Unit. This challenging position allowed her to work with individuals, couples, and groups which led her into specializing in trauma treatment. Eyvonne introduced EMDR as a viable treatment for trauma in the psychiatric hospital setting.
