Roots Before Wings

(and the questions we ask)

A webinar with Bettina Shultz-Jobe, Co-founder & CEO of Natural Lifemanship

Saturday, January 18th, 2025

5:00 PM Central

This year, we’re NOT focusing on doing more. Instead, we’re putting our energy into being fully present in the work and relationships you’re already engaged in.

Join us for a webinar on Saturday, January 18th where Bettina Shultz-Jobe will talk about what she sees as foundational to our work as facilitators of the experiential process.

She’ll share her perspective on the appropriate use of questions in somatic and trauma informed work (and the inappropriate use of questions!).  She’ll discuss what it takes to listen deeply to how our questions are answered, and the ongoing personal work we must each commit to if we are to embody a trauma-informed socratic approach in our sessions.

“When I first became a therapist, I leaned more heavily on activities,” Bettina said. “But the more we grow in this work, the more closely we listen, the less we do. And doing less is really hard! It requires some serious roots.”

Bettina will discuss how the Fundamentals training helps you grow roots that are deeper and wider, equipping you to powerfully integrate horses into the services you provide.  She’ll share how the Fundamentals of NL helps you lay a sturdy foundation for the learning and growth that’s ahead of you, and build a community of like-minded healers and practitioners who will support you along the way.

It takes a lot of training and personal work to “do less,” as a helper and healer. Together, we’re going to strengthen our roots before growing our wings.

We look forward to being in conversation with you!

Ten Things You Need to Know When Choosing an EAS Certification

Not all certifications are the same!

The field of Equine Assisted Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Learning is growing rapidly. New trainings and certifications are springing up all over – and each is a little different.

When seeking your own training path there are some important considerations to be mindful of so that you get exactly what you need to do this work well – with integrity. The founders of Natural Lifemanship have been offering EAS for over 3 decades, training and education for over 10 years, and in 2015 they launched a certification process…in all these years, Natural Lifemanship has learned A LOT about this field.

Doing quality EAS work is a complex and subtle process that is at its best when science, ethics, and experience all come together. Join us for a 1-hour webinar where NL founders, Bettina Shultz-Jobe and Tim Jobe, will let you in on the most important things to consider when choosing a training and certification process.

There’s more to it than you think!
