Building Your Resilience

Making a living by offering others your unconditional care and support is no easy feat.  We show up for each and every client and do our best to be our full, authentic, loving and boundaried selves, every day.

Working in the mental health and helping professions can be psychologically and emotionally taxing.  We all know, intellectually, that we need deep and restorative self-care in order to be at our best, it is what we encourage our clients to practice...yet, are we really doing it for ourselves?  Now, offering our support to clients is harder than ever.  We are all experiencing stress, anxiety, financial uncertainty, and a complete shift in the way we deliver services.

If there ever was a time when we needed to focus on filling our own wells, it is now.

That’s why The Natural Lifemanship Institute, in collaboration with our students and partner sites, is offering the Building Your Resilience series: multiple online opportunities for profound self-care - through mindfulness, meditation, art, journaling, self-reflection, and more.  Please join us for these deeply restorative online workshops in our connected community of helpers and healers.

This series includes unique offerings to support your resilience and growth. Upcoming workshops will display below as they are made available. Learn more by clicking the title of each offering below (when you scroll down to upcoming events), which include:

A Winter Retreat:  Nurturing the Hearth with Kate Naylor, LMFT.

Winter is a time for turning inward - a time to slow down, reflect, dream, and nurture the self in preparation for the year to come. In this 1.5 hour retreat, we will seek the hearth within our homes and the hearth within us, and allow the warmth there to permeate out into the winter that surrounds us this season.  Close the door against the cold winds of the outside world, curl up near the hearth, and allow creativity in body, mind, and soul to fan the flames flickering within us.

This retreat will NOT be recorded. Please commit to joining us live on Zoom.

A Journey of Self Discovery and Connection Mini Series with Jenn Pagone, LCPC. Jenn infuses your personal and professional growth process with the Internal Family Systems Model (IFS). This transformative series includes 4 two-hour real-time sessions (NOT recorded) and an audio file of Jenn’s meditation “A Journey from Parts to Self” that you can keep! Sessions include: The Art of Becoming Self-Led, An Introduction to Self, Enhancing Durability in Internal Resources and Adaptive Neural Networks (using an EMDR tool for right brain expression), and Clinical Discussion: Using Self Energy with Clients.
