Britt Palmer

Britt has built her career around the integration of what she believes are the most effective forms of psychotherapy and her love of connecting with the outdoors and horses.

A patient typically experiences equine assisted psychotherapy (Natural Lifemanship), art therapy, yoga and intuitive movement, along with family systems and trauma-informed models that include Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR.

Britt owns a group practice called Connections Counseling, where a team of clinicians including therapists, a dietician, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner, offer holistic treatment to the entire family, specializing in trauma, eating disorders, and perinatal mental health.

She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (in Tennessee and California), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (in California), and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

Britt is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), is an iaedp Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, is currently the Midsouth iaedp Chapter President, is dually certified in two equine therapy models as both a mental health professional and equine professional, and is certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method.

Our Happy Place is a host site for Natural Lifemanship trainings.
