If you enrolled in the certification process before October 27th, 2025, you may continue under the previous certification requirements, but you must complete them by September 1, 2026. After this date, everyone will need to complete at least one in-person practicum (or other approved in-person training) to complete certification.
How Do Vouchers work?
If you’d like to take advantage of the sale price on Fundamentals and Intensive (available October 27th – November 7th), you’ll notice that we have announced dates for 2026, but we haven’t yet opened registration.
Here’s how vouchers work:
- Buy a voucher for the training of your choice and get the sale price when you complete your purchase before November 7, 2025.
- When registration opens for the training you’ve selected, you’ll be the first to know and we’ll notify you via email so you can sign up.
- Your voucher will be good for any of the dates we offer for that training throughout 2026, so select whatever date works best for you! For example, if you purchase a Fundamentals voucher, but don’t want to use it until the last session that starts in September 2026, no problem! Generally, registration for each training opens two weeks before the training begins.
CERTIFICATION STEP 1
Take the Fundamentals of NL (ON SALE)
Start by taking the Fundamentals of Natural Lifemanship to learn the principles underlying everything we do.
Fundamentals of NL is one of our signature trainings, designed to teach you the powerful process we’ve developed for creating deep, connected relationships based on our unique principles.
When will Fundamentals be offered?
- January 26 – March 27 – This is the only time in 2026 that the LIVE option will be available.
- April 27 – June 26
- September 14 – November 13
What’s the sale price?
When you purchase a voucher before November 7th, for a 2026 Fundamentals training, you will save $150.
Please note that there are three different options for the Fundamentals of NL, but the Jumpstart option is the one we recommend for anyone seeking NL Certification, and it is the only one on sale.
Plus, when you sign up for Fundamentals Jumpstart, it also includes the annual certification fee which includes one year of NL membership, a practitioner listing on our website, and the CE hours needed to maintain your certification.
Step 1A: Fundamentals Practicum (In Person)*
All certification students must complete at least one in-person training. (See Step 6) The Fundamentals training must be taken prior to the Fundamentals Practicum. This 3-day practicum offers real-time, guided practice to help you embody the core principles before advancing.
“The emphasis on the somatic – on the body. It’s really important to me personally and I’ve seen how it affects my horses… What does it mean to be present in the moment? Everybody talks about it, but Natural Lifemanship teaches it and gives you amazing skills to have a somatic experience.”
~ Cheri Trousil, PT
CERTIFICATION STEP 2
Take the NL Intensive (ON SALE)
Next, you’ll take the NL Intensive, where you sink so much deeper into the nuance and art of this work.
The NL Intensive is taken after the Fundamentals when you’ve gained a solid foundation for using the Natural Lifemanship principles. In the Intensive, you’ll go deeper into your personal growth and embody your unique and powerful practice to build on your relationship with yourself, your clients, and your horses.
When will the Intensive be offered?
- April 6 – July 24
- August 17 – December 11
What is the sale price?
When you purchase a voucher, during the Certification Sale, for a 2026 Intensive training you will save $100.
Please note that there are two different options for the NL Intensive, but the Core option is the one we recommend for anyone pursuing NL Certification and it’s the only one on sale.
Step 2A: Intensive Practicum (In Person)*
If you take the Intensive Practicum (See Step 6), it must follow your Intensive course. This 3-day practicum gives you the opportunity to practice and refine the more advanced skills you’ve just learned.
*Important Requirement (Beginning October 27th, 2025): Every certification student must attend at least one approved in-person training. The Fundamentals Practicum and the Intensive Practicum, are both approved, and each practicum must follow the related course.
“In my relationship with my own horse, I had no idea how much I was missing in what she’s been telling me…I’m just blown away by the NL Intensive.“
~ Leigh Ashley, M.A., LMFT

Attend One In-Person Training*
At least one in-person training is required for NL Certification. You can choose either the Fundamentals Practicum or the Intensive Practicum, depending on your training path.

Over the course of the summer, you’ll move through all requirements—Fundamentals, Intensive, Practicum, mentorship, and client hours—in a fully integrated environment. Each day, you’ll learn and practice alongside seasoned NL instructors, engage with real clients, and embody the principles of NL in a supportive, community-based setting. By the end of summer, you’ll be ready to carry this work forward in the world.
Details on dates, registration, and enrollment will be announced soon—stay tuned!
NEW: Internship for
Client Hours (Starting
