Cimena has been providing social work and therapeutic services in the Twin Cities area for children, teens, adults and families for the past 15 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge to each case with experience in foster care, adoption, and trauma. Recently, Cimena has been able to integrate her love of horses into her mental health practice using the Natural Lifemanship model. She believes in a holistic, integrative approach working collaboratively with families and guardians to manage and resolve upsetting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related traumatic life events; and to enhance safety, growth, parenting skills, and family communication. A strengths based perspective is used throughout sessions within the context of attachment and child development domains, childhood trauma and its impact on development and family functioning.
