MA; LPC; NL Trainer
I love the outdoors, nature, animals, and people. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina, as well as a nationally certified therapist in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, I am trained in Forensic Interviewing and have 18 years of experience working with child sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. I am the co-founder of H.O.P.E. (Horses Offering Personal Empowerment) an Equine Assisted Therapy & Learning program; and am trained in Natural Lifemanship, and EAGALA certified. I present at National Conferences on the topics of Trauma Informed Care, Equine Assisted Therapy, and am the co-author of the book, “EquiPower- Treating Trauma with the Power and Sensitivity of Horses.” After 25 years of working with horses, I continue to partner with horses and the outdoors in order to empower individuals to develop healthy connections and relationships with self and others.
