Conference Theme and Purpose:
Natural Lifemanship sets itself apart as a research-based, trauma-informed model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. In this year’s conference we take NL a step further, integrating rhythmic body-based therapies into NL principles of connection. Join us in October to explore how these approaches can be blended with Trauma-Informed Equine Assisted Psychotherapy for a powerful, relational, whole-brained therapy experience.
It is easy, when focusing on the somatic experience, to forget the relationship – but if you know Natural Lifemanship, you know that…
Connection is ALWAYS the goal!
October 18th-20th, Natural Lifemanship is hosting a conference that will address integrative Trauma-Informed Care through Natural Lifemanship. There are many research-based approaches to treating trauma, and we will look at how to integrate these approaches with Natural Lifemanship. Guest presenters with expertise in various somato-sensory treatments will join us for a weekend of learning, vibrant discussion, connections and networking, community, and fun! Throughout the conference, our invited guest presenters will co-present with us, sharing their expertise on modalities such as mindfulness, drumming, yoga, brain gym, and contemplative prayer while we share and demonstrate how we may use those strategies in TF-EAP, and how Natural Lifemanship principles may be applied within each of those approaches.
This unique conference will guide participants into a better understanding of how connection with self and the therapy horses plays a key role in healing through these body-based interventions. We have gathered a talented group of experts in each modality to provide you with an unforgettable learning experience! Each presenter will either be a certified Natural Lifemanship professional, or be paired with a Natural Lifemanship trainer to guarantee that each body-based therapy is presented with the NL principles of connection in mind – offering you multiple new approaches for your TF-EAP practice. There will be presentations, demos, and experiential portions for a one-of-a-kind, in-depth learning experience.
