Residency Structure

This immersive three-week experience is intentionally designed to integrate learning, practice, and reflection.

Mornings: Client Sessions
Residents provide equine-assisted services within a trauma-informed, experiential healing environment. This includes direct engagement with clients under the active mentorship and presence of NL staff.

Afternoons: Group Case Consultation & Clinical Development
Afternoons are designed to include structured group consultation and clinical development throughout the residency. Residents will have multiple opportunities to present cases, explore clinical decision-making, refine interventions, and deepen understanding of the Natural Lifemanship model in practice.

This format allows learning to build in real time. Concepts move beyond theory into embodied clinical skill, with immediate feedback and professional development woven throughout the experience.

Intensive Mentorship & Direct Training

Participants receive a significant level of support and instruction directly from Natural Lifemanship staff throughout the residency. This includes:

  • Guidance during client sessions (if needed)
  • Structured case consultation
  • Skill refinement and model integration
  • Ethical and relational decision-making support
  • Ongoing professional development conversations

The residency is designed to ensure that participants are not navigating client work alone. Instead, they are supported within a collaborative, high-integrity learning environment that prioritizes both practitioner growth and client care.

Why This Residency Matters

Equine-assisted services require presence, attunement, clinical discernment, and ethical clarity. These qualities deepen most effectively through supported, experiential learning within real relationships.

Participants leave with:

  • Completed client and consultation hours toward certification
